2017 Season

The 2017 season brought another winning season.  A lot of experience graduated, injuries plagued the team all season, and the coaching staff was short-handed, yet many young ladies stepped up to lead the Mustangs to another successful season.  Varsity ended league play 9-3 and in second place in the East Valley League.  A tough 1st round loss in playoffs to Elizabeth LC in a 5 set thriller (14-16 5th set) ended the Mustangs season prematurely.  But the tenacity to keep fighting all season long was always present. The JV team had a good season learning how to compete at a higher level and going 6-9 on the season.  The Frosh/Soph team learned quickly about how to compete like Mustangs.  They went 6-2 in league and finished the season winning the Sylmar Tournament  Silver Division Championship. Another great season in the books!

2016 Season

After consecutive successful seasons and the addition of the new CIFLA "Competitive Equity" Division alignment, Arleta High school makes the BIG leap from Division III to Division 1.  The season started out slow, but after a very strong showing in the Burbank Tournament and a Silver Division Finals, the Mustangs turned the season around.  They ended up undefeated in the second half of the season with memorable wins against Verdugo Hills and the Senior Game vs. Poly. Varsity ended in 2nd place in the East Valley League and lost in the opening round of Division 1. Another strong season!  The JV team had a great season with many experienced players getting even better.  They went 10-2 in league play beating every team at least once and 14-5 overall. The Frosh/Soph team learned a lot in their first season as Mustangs.  The growth and potential ceiling is very high for these young ladies.  Overall a great season!

2015 Season

Another fantastic season!  The Varsity team continued the tradition of making school history by recording the first undefeated season in the East Valley League and hanging a championship banner for the first time.  They also powered their way through playoffs making it all the way to the Division III Championship game. Although we came up short, it was another breakthrough season! The JV team had a successful season, getting use to a faster pace of play, improving skills and learning how to work hard.  With the exception of Poly, the JV team beat every team in league at least once and ended with a winning record.  The Frosh/Soph team learned a lot in their first season as Mustangs.  They ended up 5-7 and had some memorable wins against Narbonne and Verdugo Hills. Overall a great 2015 season.
